Civil Engineering is also referred to as Site/Civil Engineering. A branch of Civil Engineering that primarily focuses on converting a tract of land from usage to another. In the US a person must become a licensed professional engineer work affecting the public or to legally represent oneself as a civil engineer. Currently Texas A&M has the largest Civil Engineering department which is located in College Station, Texas. Civil Engineers will work with site contractors to survey and desgin the land for things such as drainage, water supply ,and communication lines.
